FAQ

Who is permanent make up suitable for?

Anyone and everyone! You will find that it saves you precious time every morning! It gives your face a ‘younger’ and healthier looking appearance! You will feel glamourous all day!

How long does it take to carry out the treatment?

Treatment times will vary depending on a number of variables specific to each client. Allow a minimum of 2.5 hours per area for the  initial treatment.

Can I bring my friend to my appointment?

Unfortunately, at the this present time, all appointments must be attended alone.

What will happen at the consultation?

A thorough and honest consultation is always carried out before the treatment to ensure permanent make up is for you. We will discuss your skin tone, colours available to your skin group, your face shape and different looks and styles. A medical history will be taken and you will be required to have a patch test for the pigments used during the procedure. The consultation will give you ample opportunity to ask any questions or raise any concerns you may have. This will then allow you to make an informed decision as to whether you would like to go ahead with the treatment. You are under no obligation to proceed with the treatment following your initial consultation. My goal is to provide you with the best possible result.

Will I need to pay a deposit?

Following our initial consultation, a £50 deposit will be required to book your first appointment. The remainder of the balance will be due in full at your first treatment session. This is payable via cash or bank transfer.

Does it hurt?

A topical anaesthetic is applied to the area before the procedure, to minimise any discomfort. Due to current UK Law, this must be purchased by you prior to the treatment. Many clients describe the sensation as tingling and some even fall asleep! Clients say facial threading is more painful!

Is there any down time after the treatment?

Immediately after your treatment you may experience light to moderate swelling. Especially with eyeliner & lip treatments. Generally, this will subside within 24-48 hours. Most clients return to work straight away or the day after. In 3 days or so, the healing skin will scab up & start to flake off & the colour will start to lighten.

What can I expect after the treatment?

Initially, the treated area will look dark and possibly swollen. The colour will lighten after a few days. A follow up procedure will be carried out 4-12 weeks later to refine and perfect.

Will I still need to have my eyebrows shaped and tinted?

Yes. Semi Permanent Makeup does not affect the hair growth or colour in any way. It only colours the skin under the hair, therefore maintenance will still be required.
