Catherine is a cosmetic tattooist trained by Nouveau Contour, one of the UK's leading permanent cosmetics training schools. After completing her beauty training at Champneys College in Tring, she went on to run a successful beauty salon in Grimsby — and has since undertaken extensive further training with the Nouveau Contour team.

Most recently, in summer 2024, Catherine completed an advanced update training in brow, lip and eyeliner techniques with UK-renowned permanent makeup leaders Jasmine Evans and Paige Lloyd in Halifax.

Catherine is known for her patience and eye for detail, working with you to restore or enhance your natural features. She holds a blood-borne virus certificate and follows all government and council hygiene guidelines, so you're always in safe hands.

Every treatment begins with a thorough consultation covering skin tone, colour, face shape and the look you want, along with a medical history and a required patch test.

What to expect

Consultation

We talk through shape, colour and healed results, and check the treatment is right for your skin.

Treatment

A topical anaesthetic minimises discomfort (purchased separately, as required by UK law). Allow a minimum of 2.5 hours per area.

Healing & top-up

Colour settles as swelling subsides over 24–48 hours. A follow-up procedure 6–12 weeks later refines and perfects the result.

Questions

FAQ

Does it hurt?

A topical anaesthetic is applied before the procedure to minimise discomfort. Many clients describe it as tingling, and some even fall asleep — most say facial threading is more painful.

Is there any downtime?

You may experience light to moderate swelling immediately afterwards, especially with eyeliner and lip treatments, generally subsiding within 24–48 hours. Most clients return to work straight away or the next day. Within a few days the area will scab lightly and flake, and the colour will lighten.

Will I still need my brows shaped and tinted?

Yes — permanent makeup doesn't affect hair growth or colour, it only colours the skin beneath, so normal maintenance is still needed.

What pigments are used?

The Monica Ivani Signature Series by Li Pigments — a set of eyebrow shades curated by Monica Ivani, a globally recognised brow artist, for natural, true-to-tone healed results. Each pigment is pre-mixed and can be blended lighter or darker to match your exact colouring. See the pigment range →
